Real Estate One Free-Lance Work

Over the course of several years, I have been a freelance artist for Real Estate One. I have undertaken projects such as Buyer's and Lister's Catalogues, Window Murals, and Custom House Portraits. I currently still work for agents at Real Estate One and I am grateful for the friendships I have made there.

Buyer's & Lister's Catalogues

To begin, buying and listing catalogues for realtors are used for both selling a property (listing) and representing a buyer (buying). It includes marketing collateral that agents use to showcase their expertise to clients and explain the buying/selling process, manage the listing, and attract both buyers and sellers. These documents primarily exist online as digital brochures, market reports, and checklists.

While I may not be responsible for gathering the realtor’s information, my role was to utilize the provided materials to design a visually cohesive and aesthetically refined catalogue that aligns with the realtor’s brand and preferred style of presentation and décor. Below is an example of both a Buyer's 1 and Lister's 2 Catalogue.

1, Digital Mock Up Design

With each new season, Real Estate One branches decorate their offices as both employee's and their clients are consistently inside opening and closing deals. As originally a fine-artist I partake in the decoration of these offices through painting window murals. â€‹

To begin the process, I first collaborate with office management to determine the desired design direction. Once this is established, I create a digital mock-up of the mural 1 for review and approval before proceeding to gather the necessary paints and materials. Once at the office, I prepare the workspace by cleaning the windows and removing any residue from previous artwork. I then apply a white base coat to ensure color vibrancy and opacity, as colored paints tend to be more transparent. After completing the base and primary color layers, I refine

the mural by adding detailed elements and performing final touch-ups, ensuring

both the workspace and finished piece are clean and professionally presented.

Each mural is designed with thought and detail, paying close attention to the atmosphere of the office and what would best fit with the current season throughout the year. Particularly, for the different branches, I paint Fall 2, Winter 3, and Spring 4 murals.

House Portraits

In the spring of 2019 Caryn Blackman, a Real Estate One Agent and now, long time friend, saw a portfolio piece I created 1 and instantly commissioned me then-after for all of her personalized house portraits she gives to her clients. Since then, I have expanded to work for other agents, making over 50 of these personalized "house-warming" gifts.

The process of these projects are fairly simple. After receiving information from the realtor, regarding the house address, desired image, and any other additional details

such as landscape tough-up and Family name signage, I format the water-color paper, and sketch out the house. Then, I fine-tune the sketch with pen and use watercolor paints to add the popping color that makes the house feel warm. In a way it brings back the wonderful memories of growing up and growing old in a home. Below are several examples of this.

Overall, I love what I do because of how much joy I can bring other people. And if you or someone you know is interested in a personal house portrait, Click here to go to the order form!
