Artist White Legacy Standard Bible (LSB) Promotion
Three Sixteen Publishing selected me through an open artist call to design and paint their Compact Edition Legacy Standard Bible (LSB) in Artist White, a Bible created for creative customization. After developing and refining several concepts, two of my designs were chosen, and promoted.
During the Fall of 2023, Three Sixteen Publishing, a Christian publishing company that produces and distributes “God-honoring Christian resources,” particularly Bibles, Christian books, children’s materials, stationery, and related items, included an open call to artists to participate in their upcoming promotion of the Compact Edition of the LSB in Artist White. This Bible is designed for creativity. The faux leather acts like an artist's canvas, ready to receive paints, pens, markers or craft accessories, boosting the capabilities of personalizing the LSB cover and page edges.

A church member who attends Hope in Christ Bible Church was a subscriber to Three Sixteen Publishing's newsletter which included this artist call, and referred me to participate and send in my portfolio as soon as possible. Upon learning about the opportunity I did so and was quickly responded with approval and the task to create sketches of possible designs 1 prior to being sent the Bible.

1, Bible Cover Ideation Sketches​​
After​ assessing my work, (with permission) I showed the designs to my fellow Church members to get their opinions as to what Bible covers had the strongest designs, as they are the target audience. After a series of votes I rendered out a second phase of more defined sketches 2 and submitted them to Three Sixteen Publishing for critique and next steps.

In response, they chose the fourth design, featuring the Lily 3, and shipped me the Artist White Compact Edition of the LSB. For good measure, I digitally recreated the sketch so that I could define the best color scheme and then proceeded onto painting the piece and bringing to life the hard work that was put into all of the prep work.

After I completed the Bible, I sent in a marketable photo and the company enjoyed the design so much that they allowed me to keep it and further more, sent me a second Bible to paint, recreating the third sketch of the three roses as that was their close, second, option 4.
